Lip Fillers in Archway by a Dentist | Blue Light Dental & Aesthetics

Lip fillers in Archway, delivered by a dentist. At Blue Light Dental & Aesthetics on Holloway Road, lip enhancement sits inside a clinical practice rather than a beauty room. That single difference shapes everything that follows: the assessment, the product choice, the technique, and what happens if anything ever needs reviewing.

Treatment is led by Dr Sanyukta Kothari, Principal Dentist & Aesthetic Specialist (GDC 283340).

Why a dentist for lip fillers?

Dentists train for years on the anatomy of the lips, the muscles around the mouth, and the blood vessels that sit underneath them. We work in this part of the face every day. When you add hyaluronic-acid filler to the lip body and vermillion border, knowing exactly where those vessels run — and how the surrounding muscles will move once swelling settles — is what separates a soft, natural result from one that looks done.

The other part is the setting. Lip fillers carried out at our Archway practice happen in a CQC-registered dental clinic, with sterile single-use needles, prescription-grade product, and access to medical-grade hyaluronidase on-site if a filler ever needs to be reversed. That last point matters: it is the safety net most non-clinical settings cannot offer.

How the appointment works at Blue Light Dental

Your first visit is a consultation, not the treatment itself. We talk through what you would like to change, look at the resting shape and movement of your lips, take baseline photos, and walk through realistic outcomes. If lip fillers are not the right answer for what you are describing, we will say so — sometimes a small amount of filler in the upper lip combined with a different lower-face approach gives a more balanced result.

If you decide to proceed, we plan the volume (typically 0.5 ml or 1 ml of a hyaluronic-acid filler such as Juvéderm or Restylane), apply topical numbing, and treat in a single appointment of about 30 to 45 minutes. You walk out the same day. Two-week reviews are included with all 1 ml treatments so we can refine if needed.

What we do differently in Archway

  • Anatomical training first. Lip injection by a registered dental professional with daily clinical exposure to the perioral region.
  • Sterile clinical setting. Single-use needles, prescription-only product, full medical record kept of the treatment.
  • Reversal available on-site. Hyaluronidase available at the clinic if dissolving is ever needed.
  • Honest reviews. Two-week review appointment included with 1 ml treatments. We refine when the swelling has settled, not before.
  • One practice for face and smile. Lip fillers planned alongside Invisalign, composite bonding, or a smile makeover when that combination is what suits the face — not as separate trips to separate places.

Pricing

Pricing for lip fillers is confirmed at the consultation, after we have agreed the volume and product. We will give you a written quote before any treatment is booked. Two-week reviews are included with all 1 ml treatments at no additional cost. 0% finance is available subject to status.

Frequently asked questions

Are lip fillers safer with a dentist?

Lip filler is a regulated medical treatment. The product is prescription-only. In the UK it is legal for any registered medical, dental or nursing professional to administer it, but the training, the setting, and the clinical safety net vary widely. A dentist working out of a CQC-registered dental clinic combines the relevant anatomical training with a sterile environment and on-site reversal product. That combination is what reduces risk.

How long do lip fillers last?

Most hyaluronic-acid lip fillers last between six and nine months. The body breaks down the product gradually. How quickly that happens depends on metabolism, how much was placed, and the area treated. We discuss expected timelines at your consultation so the plan suits how often you want to be coming back.

Will my lips look natural?

That is the goal at every appointment. Most patients at Blue Light Dental do not want anyone to know they have had anything done. The technique we use — small volumes, conservative starting points, two-week reviews — is built around results that look like your lips on a good day, not somebody else’s lips.

Can I have lip fillers and Invisalign at the same time?

Yes, with sequencing. We typically advise completing the active phase of Invisalign first, because the lips sit differently once the teeth move into their final position. After that, lip fillers fine-tune the soft tissue around the new smile. Because both treatments are planned in the same practice, the timing is straightforward.

What if I do not like the result?

The two-week review is the moment we look at the settled result together and decide whether to refine. If a result needs to be reversed entirely, we can dissolve hyaluronic-acid filler with hyaluronidase at the clinic. Reversal is a clinical procedure, not a cosmetic one — it is good practice that this is available where the original treatment was done.

Do you offer lip filler dissolving?

Yes. We can dissolve filler placed at our practice or elsewhere. The consultation works the same way — assessment first, then a treatment plan. If you have had filler placed at another clinic and are unhappy with how it has settled, you are welcome to come in for an honest assessment.
